Acura RDX central display ? ( without technology package)
Hi everyone,
I was wondering what kind of central display does the RDX have , if is not equipped with Technology Package ?
Is it the same 8 inch color LCD display used by the Navi from Tech Package or not ?
Can you add a rear view camera on this display ?
Anyone have some picture of it ?
Thanks !

Here it goes. Tribute to DNPhotography

To make the climate control and audio systems easy to operate, the RDX (without Technology Package) has a 6.5-inch display centrally positioned in the instrument panel. In addition to a digital clock, the upper portion of the screen is devoted to the audio system, and features a multi-line display that can show CD title, as well as RDS radio station information when available. The lower half of the display is devoted to the automatic climate control system, and shows the operating mode and selected temperature settings.
When equipped with the Technology Package, the center dash display is replaced with an 8-inch navigation system screen, and an additional display is positioned just above. This display shows the most frequently used audio system and climate control settings, which are accessed via the easy-to-use interface dial.

AFAIK it's a piece of cake to connect to the stock Navi display to have a DVD or whatever there. Have no ideas regarding the non-Tech display.
Thank you Azzie.
There is a dealer over here who imports Acura , so I was thinking to the RDX.
There is no point to pay for the Navi as this doesn't work over here ( no maps ) , so that's why I was curious how the non-technological version looks like inside.

dinoc, I've also upgraded from Accord. Unfortunately You cannot read in Russian for I have written the whole article regarding RDX on our forum. I can say that choosing the Tech Package is done not just for stock Navi. You can connect absolutely any source to this 8" color NTSC display. There are numerous 3rd party Navi solutions, DVDs, even CarPCs. BTW, selling the pre-owned RDX is much easier with the full package than with the stock trim in our neighbourhood (Eastern Europe). So think about it.
Tech package not only include Navi but also the ELS system, right?
To be honest with you, I think if you have to buy a RDX without tech package.
There's something else better you can get within that price range.
Well, unless you are Honda enthusiast lol
BTW, for your information, the picture is a 07 I think, 08's had HFL on them.
