2012 Front Bumper
Hello, is there any aftermarket front bumpers for the 2010-2012 RDX? I have a 2012 and would really like to change the look of it up front. Is it possible to swap an earlier ‘07-‘09 bumper with it? Thanks

I felt compelled to share the knowledge, i therefore had to create an account to post on the forums. I too was on looking to convert over my entire front end, however i couldnt find someone who could confirm that this was in fact doable, life is about taking chances n so after a minor fender bender i jump right into buying the parts to convert over. You'll need
1) 2010-2012 Hood same hinges can be used
2) 2010-2012 Front Grille
3) 2010-2012 Foglights old foglights cannot be used they are to big.
4) front foglight grilles
5) center bumper cover
The entire Rear-End can be converted over too, I did not want to go down this route but i know that is 100% doable. Base on my research.
Parts needed
Rear bumper cover rear square tips rear Trunk door cover. Rear taillights are interchangeable as well.
Despite the exaggerated numbers thrown around its not that expensive to convert over. It all depends were u buy your parts from.

Hood from the stealership price $2460 plus taxes unpainted, call any stealership you'll be qoute this price, that said some not all dealers will more than likely offer a discount which than brings down the price to 1620. Plus taxes.
I bought my hood from the wreckers for $700 no tax
Front grille 420 including taxes. The front grille is not sold as a whole but instead as seperate pieces.
Front bumper skin, i bought from a shop who repairs bumpers. 250 no tax bear bumper skin.
2 front foglight grilles. 124 including taxes
2. 2010-2012 foglights from fleabay $23 doors at my door. i havent bought the front center bumper cover yet. Its 241 plus taxes at the stealership.

Very cool info, thank you! Sounds like you are converting from a 07-09 to a 2010-2012 right? I’m wanting to do the opposite. I really like the look of the earlier models more than the 2012, but I found mine with only 40,000 miles on it so it made sense. Anyways, it does sound doable. Sounds like the headlights are still the same. Only changes would be
1) hood
2) grille
3) front bumper cover
4) fog lights
1) hood
2) grille
3) front bumper cover
4) fog lights

Thanks for all the info! That looks great. I’m excited that this can be done! Definitely going to do this, I really like the diffuser, but that may have to wait. I’m glad that I’m not the only one who’s wanting / done this conversion.

Rear diffuser is currently backorder Canada wide till 3 01/11 01/24, According my source.
I went with the fins $18 @ fleabay. Obviously not my first choice but it will do for now!

This is great information. My wife has a 2007 WDP Acura RDX and I go back and forth on what front end I like better. Finding a new hood at a reasonable price was always the biggest hangup. I think the 10-12 front ends look better if they are unmodified. However, I think the 07-09 front ends look better if you are lucky enough to have the OEM front under-body spoiler to go with it. I just wish the 07-00 front grills were a bit larger.
Either way, this is very useful information.

I'm not a fan of the 10-12 beak. It's not incorporated very well and looks tacked on. Whereas on my 16 ILX I think that's the best iteration of the beak, and it looks quite nice. They finally got the beak looking nice just in time to switch to a new look.

Thank you, I painted the emblem too match too now. I need an updated picture. I also painted the grille a while back too. I’m just waiting to paint the inside of the headlights black next. I’m just dreading 😟 the work it takes to get it done.

Wow 😲!
I just need some sort of a write up on how to take the headlight apart once I have it out and how to put it back together without breaking gun anything haha 😄.
Those headlights look 👀 cool 😎, almost like they belong in the movie 🎥 Tron.

I made a DIY for the 3g Acura TL. I know it's not the same, but the principles still apply. Take a look:
