Well, now the 2008 TL is on the Acura WWW site...and it includes the aforementioned Polished Metal Metalic color. Only the RDX and MDX still show 2007 information.

Hmm...I don't see any prior posts referencing the 2008 TL on the acura WWW site...there were many posts about the 2008 TSX and 2008 RL on the acura web site, but nothing about the TL. I'm pretty sure it just showed up within the last 24 hours as I check it almost daily. But who knows, last time I checked I wasn't perfect. :-) Sorry if its been posted already, wasn't my intent to repost old news.

No, you're right. I just looked last night and the 08 TL was not on there yet, it was just the RL and TSX before this morning.

 

I see the '08 TL on the Acura site, but I don't see the Polished Metal metallic color choice?

 

Go to build & price, pick a trim, go to next page and see color choices. It's there.

 

It's on there. Maybe you're looking at Type S colors? It's only available on the non Type S TL.

 

Yeh, you nailed it! I was in the TL-type S, not the regular one. I see it now.

LuvMyTSX, I do know how to click on build & price, etc., etc., how else would I not see the correct colors?? Hellooooooo! (I've been buildin' Acura's on there for fun since b4 my '00 TL!)

Still no news on the changes for the 08 RDX but we will be receiving 1 Tech and 1 non Tech model at the end of this month to the first week of August.

Well, the site's back up, but it still has the 07 RDX and MDX listed. You'll have to wait patiently for a little while longer.

Here is a list of changes for 08 RDX. I know alot of people have said some of these already or they heard of the changes. I always wait until I see something in print from Acura. Here it is:

-HFL standard on all RDX
-auto dimming rearview mirror
-remote entry system with driver recognition memory
-personalized settings on all RDX
-MID standard on all RDX

and as I've stated a long time ago, Carbon Grey is gone and replaced with Polished Metal Metallic.

Since you don't say "on all RDX", are these tech only? Or was the "on all RDX" simply to refer to a former tech only feature that's now on all?

I think Acura is saying it will be on both Tech and Non Tech models now. Personallzed settings is a feature that allows you to program the door lock/unlock modes, etc... It will be easier with the MID now.

BFD! The 2008 update is basically nada, as I had thought. It should be funny to watch how long the dealers cling to MSRP for a model that is no different than the one it replaces. I suppose the extra gadgets on the base will garner some more sales, but good luck justifying a $3000 price hike from the current market price which is at invoice.

 

What does HFL mean?
What does Mid mean?
What does driver recognition mean?

 

HFL = hands free link = bluetooth

MID = multi information display = maintenance reminder among other things

Driver recognition = I'm assuming this means memory settings for individual drivers

 

Thanks White! The changes are a bit underwhelming but the RDX is still #1 on my list come purchase time in Feb. (unless the EX35 ends up comparable with more luxury.... )

 

I just went to the Acura site to get a glimpse of the new colour....but it looks the same as CGP...even down to the weird bluish tint when you try and build your own. I'm not doubting you, just getting confirmation that Polished Metal is more Anthracite than CGP?

Yea, I see what you mean. The color on the RDX build & Price, etc., colors is still the same as before w/ the Carbon Grey Met..........go to the TL, build & price, etc., (be sure & pick one of the first 2 TL choices, not TL type S!) & you can see the Polished Metal color. It looks more Anthracite
(I don't see how that's going to be better than Carbon Grey Metallic!)

Totally agree with you man. CGP (aka Graphite for us Canucks) is an awesome colour. I'm holding out a sliver of hope that there's an 07 left when I go to buy...though I doubt it.

They didn't say anything about the suspension changing. I think that was more of a wish list item/rumor for some people. I personally like the suspension on the RDX.

The new color does look odd when you build the car online. But all of the other colors look different than they do in real life. I'll have to see the Polished Metal Metallic in person to judge.

 

When you build the car on the RDX
its continues using the same color - carbon grey pearl(from the 2007 model).

Like White said, if you really want to see it heads-on, go to the TL-TYPE S - and check the polished metal metallic.

(or just goto ACURA.com and check the page RDX frame that passes by).

Yes suspension has been softened for 08. (but only slightly) This has been confirmed.

Also, I think the PMM is much nicer than the CGP, but I think the CBP is the best color of the lot.

Just spoke to my dealer and he says my 2008 will be produced on the 27th (Oh No, a Friday built car!) and delivered by Aug. 15th.
btw great lease rates right now until Sept. 4th.

 

Any details you could provide on leasing incentives would be good!

Won't know more until the beginning of the month. The US site is offering

2007 and 2008 Acura Special AHFC A.P.R. Financing
