Hi,
im having intermittent tranny noise (thump) at higher speeds over 70 mph.. and some intermittent chatter like I hit a speed bump.. it’s very concerning but I’m not getting any messages.. called one Acura dealer in Austin who suggested an $800.00 triple flush. A 2nd dealer in San Antonio recommended a single flush for $200.00. Why the different recommendations.?!

I had an 08 RDX I handed down to my daughter (+220,000 miles today). I stuck with 1X 5AT services every 25k-30k (also had Hondata+ETS intercooler). I kept the same schedule with my 06 TSX (+176,000 miles) and 11 MDX (+154,000 miles). The prices for me are from New Mexico in the 2015-2019 years. The 1X drain/refill costed me around +/-$130 and it adds several quarts of fresh AT fluid probably around +/-30% range of fresh AT fluid. The 3X AT service (drain/refill/run through gears/repeat 2X times) can cost +/-$450 and it replaces a higher +70% of the fluid; but not 100% of it. I don't know the exact % for either; but, 1X seemed to fix any shifting issues I had.
You can do a 1X gravity drain and refill to see if that corrects the problem. You still have the option to do another 2X drain/refill/run through gears afterwards a few days later. I would also check with local shops that work on Acura/Hondas and Honda dealerships because Acura will always have the highest labor/parts cost. It is ALWAYS a 1X or 3X gravity drain and refill with Honda/Acura transmissions with Honda/Acura AT fluid. No mechanical flushes if you decide to go with a local shop because that could damage the AT.

drain and fills are really easy, buy a 12 pack of ATF fluid, loosen the fill cap, loosen the drain bolt to drain old fluid, close bolt, fill up new fluid to match the amount of fluid that came out. Drive around, do it 2 x more times . Easy peasy.
I second these suggestions. ATF flush/refill is only slightly more difficult than a regular oil change.
I check and flush trans fluid every 30k mi. Last time the fluid was pretty clean when taking it out after the first drain & drive around, so I only did a 2x flush. I am about 8k away from my next flush.
