Dealer gave me a 09 RDX with Tech package for test drive. Overall, it's okay and nothing extra ordinary. Interior looked kind of cheap, especially with silver interior panel and LCD window was difficult to see in bright light. Throttle was a little touchy with okay acceleration and ride quality was not too stiff for me. This car is a possible replacement for stage 2 WRX, so it's not really a fair comparison in terms of performance anyway. I also looked into luxury features, but I don't really see much in RDX other than navi and leather seat. I wish Acura put little more effort to make manual transmission available on RDX. It was no fun driving automatic transmission at all. Still, I would probably end up buying RDX as a reliable family vehicle.

 

well...u know there were paddles on the steering column, that adds a little bit the experience

 

Upon my experience, a compromise never works.

If your idea of fun is a WRX, get a Mazdaspeed 3.
If you want a reliable family car, get an Odyssey.

 

That paddle shift does nothing for me.

MS3 no AWD (I'm only looking at AWD vehicles)
Odyssey no way I'm driving mini van with only 1 kid and no AWD. If I have no choice, but a mini van. I rather get Sienna.

I like B8 A4 2.0T quattro, but my wife is skeptical about long term reliability.
