Question Eibach Prokit Drop?

Well, my friend told me that Eibach Prokit springs would give my 1stgen CL a greater drop because my car is heavier... can anyone confirm this? and if so... how great is the new drop then? thanks

Uhhh, greater drop compared to what? Stock, if youre comparing it to stock then definately it is lower. But generally Prokit doenst have as much of a drop compared to Eibachs sportlines, H&R sports, etc...

it usually settles to about a 1.5 inch drop, but search around, some people claim that there car has settled more than 2 inches lower than stock.

Yes, they are designed for an Accord which is roughly 300 lbs lighter, so the drop is going to be more than what is stated.

I wouldn't even bother with the pro-kit. I made the mistake of getting the pro-kits because the thought of not getting new shocks and no camber wear attracted me. BIG MISTAKE! I got the Tein's and I loved them.

the eibach pro kit would be perfect for me because i have to worry about snow and stuff like that, if you live in hawaii the teins are without a doubt the way to go

Teins are coilovers, why couldn't you just raise them during the snow season and drop 'em during summer?

If your gonna get PROkits......like I do.

Its a good idea to also get shocks.....because if you install the ProKITs...with your stock shocks.

Then the drop is gonna dissapoint you.........with aftermarket shocks......it will lower the car more. So if you get eibach PROkits......def. change your shocks too.

With KYB AGX shocks.......or any other quality company.

Smile Suspension Q

Do You Need a Chamber Kit WIth Pro-Kit Drop? It Claims 1.3 correct?
How about the H&R Drop Do you need a Chamber With that Claims 1.5?

Do You Guys Reccomend KYB's Or TOkIcO's? With those Spring/Shock Set up ?

No, you don't need camber kits with a pro-kit drop. Anything 1.7" or more, you need camber kits.

Listen, if you're gonna get springs AND shocks, why not just shell out another couple hundred bucks (at most) and get a full coilover setup that your friends (and most people here) would love you have.

*I recommend Koni Yellows or KYB AGX's.

Yea you should just shell out more cash......and get the coilover.....dont try to save money on this one. Dont mess around with your suspension.......go all out with that. Very important part of the car.

I know I don't wanna be messing with dropping it and raising it depending on the weather and road conditions. When its 0 degrees outside who wants to be messing with their suspension setup.

That's why you do that before the bad weather...

Don't you guys know how to plan?

It's easy and fast to raise or lower a car. I used to do it all the time. My suspension changed weekly with my mood.

There isn't a disadvantage to the prokit it all depends how much of a drop you want on your whip. With the prokit you are not gonna get that much of a drop.

Well I can't tell you about the Eibachs. I had skunk 2 on my civic for 3 yrs and never had a problem. I've only had the Eibach Sportlines for 4 months and they are fine to me.

Pro kit and KYB's should be fine. It will not increase your tread wear because its not that dramatic of a drop. You should be good.
