hey guys. I';m getting pretty annoyed with the 97 2.2cl's 4 lug pattern. I like alot of the newer stock acura wheels but they all seem to have a 5 lug pattern. When my dad rotated my tires he saw the 4 lug pattern on the inner wheel and said that it looks like it might be possible to just take that out and put a 5 lug pattern in. My question is, is that possible? Is there soem way to change the pattern so I can put some 5-lug wheels on my 97 cl? Any responses will be appreciated. thx

 

trade all the rotors etc from a 5 lug car.. duhhh

 

You can also get custom bolt pattern spacers, that act as adapters for 5 lug wheels. It's what I did, I had to have mine custom made from aircraft aluminum though.

thats was I was wondering. WOuld it even be worth it considering how expensive it is. If it were somethign cheap and simple then I would do it but I guess it isnt...lol

 

wheel adapters arent THAT expensive but ive heard that they can sometimes break. unless of course they ar emade out of aircraft aluminum but id imagine that is pretty damn expensive. you would probably be better off just getting some aftermarket wheels.

 

It is a big pain in the ass, and can be expensive. It's a lot easier to just get 4 lug aftermarkets. I wanted specific 5 lugs, so I had to do the conversion.
