Adr?

Sorry to start a new thread... I'm sure this brand has been discussed before... But you can't search for ADR because its too short... so ne way

Has ne one had experience with ADR wheels? For example:

You and I will probably get flamed for this, but I actually have them and I am pretty happy so far. I would like something nicer, but I don't have a ton of money for it. The only thing I am worried about is having them get bent from potholes or something. If I could buy rims again I would get the axis mod sevens...noice.

yea... thats why I'm thinkin about going with them... I have probably the least amount of money possible to still be able to work on my car sorta... I mean they look good... better than stock... and do they seem like they are gonna get bent from potholes? that unsturdly built?

They seem fine to me, but I know they were cheap, and I just pay more attention to the holes. I look at my rims every once in a while, and they don't look dented or anything.

Several people have had ADR's on here, but they're not super popular because they are cheap and generic, those rims you posted above are phat though

i have ADR's and they are pretty good for me. just gotta be more aware of the potholes but that is prob with all rims since you are gonna have thinner rubber.

Cool... So what that makes them on a scale of 1-10 a 6ish?

Being as that I'm super i have no idea what all that means... well sorta but why are there so many options...

the ones pictured above are:

SIZE: 17 X 7

The speedo shouldn't be off by much at all really, and I would go 18s if I were you. 225,40,18s...or 215. The price of tires from 18-17 isn't that much different.

alright, here goes.

205/55R16, which is a stock CL tire

Let me break it down.

205- width of your tire. This would be how wide your tire is from side to side

55- height of the sidewall. Take the distance between where the rim meets the tire, and go to the outside edge of the tire.

R- Radius, math class FTW!

16- Size of the rim, in inches.

i see... this is measured in millimeters im speculating? and so... If i went 17's then i would want like... 35 sidewall? so that it is approxiamtly the same?

I just think 18 with 40s look about the best. The price might end up being a tiny bit more, but I think worth it.

woah man, 35's on a 17 would be real bad, plus you'd be way off on the speedo.
Think 45's, that's a nice fit on 17's, maybe 50's if you like more sidewall, but 45 should do.

for 18's, think 40 series rubber, no bigger. But don't go rollin on 35's unless you want bent rims like subbuzz.

If you're looking for a good size on 17's, go with a 215/45, that'll look real nice without worrying about rubbing at all.

17x35 would look horrible. unless it was slammed totally to the ground, and even then it wouldn't look right. If I did 17s I would put at least 45s on there.

Thats what I would get man, and thats what I have. If you go 35 they don't look right, they make the rims look smaller, and make your wheel well gap look bigger.

It wouldn't be off by much. I know there are formulas around here to figure it out though if you really want.

40 series tires bro, don't go 45, and don't go 35. Your speedo should stay relatively the same.

Use this tool to see how the tire sizes affect your speedometer: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

The stock size is 205/55/R16.

Nice tool sleeper. So, with my setup the calculator says I will be going 60.5 mph when my speedometer says I'm at 60mph . So don't even worry about it. That is 225/40/18s
