i just got my baby in the heated garage from the snow bank it was in. i removed the air conditioner lines in the engine bay and the condenser rad. i want to take off the compressor but i dont know if i can. its a 3.0, the compressor is under the alt. the belt drives the alt. and compressor. if i remove thecompressor and find a smaller belt the only problem i see is the tensioner would now ride against the grooved side and not the flat side, this could ware down the belt. i was wondering if i can gutt the compressor and leave it mounted as a dummy pully or if there is a belt that works, ect.
