Warm Air When A/C Is on

I just had my A/C Refilled and there are no leaks or anything as per the place i got it filled. I recently replaced the A/C condensor so the system needed a refill.

Problem is, it is still blowing warm air even though the a/c system is seemingly working / is filled.

The a/c shop said it was something within the car (not in the engine bay) that is not switching correctly, causing it to still be blowing air from the blower.

Any ideas? I really dont want to pay for exploratory work if it is something i can fix myself..

Try hitting the defrost button, leave it on for about five secs, then hit it again to turn it off. Don't know why, but that worked for me to switch the cold on. Let me know if it works.

Was it a reputable shop, maybe they over filled it, put the AC on full/high watch/listen for the compressor to kick in, if its kicking in and out(clicking on/off), they over filled it..........cant just go by the gauge at a point, there is a fine line between it being 100% fill or overfill..........

i opened the hood and was standing in the passenger side door area.. so i could reach the ac button and hear outside
the ac @ the compressor def sounds to be switching over
but i cant really hear anything switching inside the car

its like theres something inside the car that should be routing cold air in that isnt..
im no expert =\

and the ac shop is reputable for sure.. i got a receipt and warranty for the fill and there were lots of cars there at the time getting refills w no probs.

at one point when i was near my car when they were filling it it sounded like the car was on but it was like spooling up and dieing.. no idea wtf was going on there..

im just affraid of paying their $90/hr rate and then have them spend 2+hrs to tell me they couldnt figure it out... tbh i dont think i should have been charged for the fill if it didnt work after the fill.. they said its not leaking and if i need another fill this season its free.. but yeah, it wasnt working even when i picked up the car from them.. ugh

Why did you have the condenser replaced? Was it leaking?

mhmmm i would redo a leak test and if not i would remove the belt from the AC compressor and spin it to make sure everything is right in that department

Oops. I meant the compressor. It died on me and went into free mode a year or so ago. I bought a used one online along w a new seal kit.

Have someone adjust temperature while you watch the heater valve in the engine bay. Maybe the valve is stuck open on heat mode? They are notorious for rusting. The valve is near the firewall towards the middle-ish, small 1.25" black rubber hose and you will see a skinny, likely rusted, actuator arm going to it.

It's #1 in this picture I found on acuraoemparts. I don't have my CL anymore, so I can't go take a picture. Comes out of the firewall towards the middle-ish / passenger side.
