temp Gauge problem

Hey guys I have a 97 CL 3.0, Just a a couple of days ago I notice the even on Cold start the temp needle would go up 1/4 of the way up. I just replaced the water temperature sensor, but its still doing it. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks

water temp sensor, you mean the thermostat correct?

Why did you replace it in the first place? Was your car overheating? Did you bleed all the air out of your coolant lines?

How do you bleed the CL coolant lines? I know the 93 Z28 I have has a locking screw in the goose neck (thermostat housing) to bleed them and another one in the heater hose but I have never seen anything like that on the CL

When I replaced and filled mine, I just ran it for 20-25 mins with the cap off, until all the bubbles stopped coming out. There is a bleeder valve on the bottom of the rad, but I think that's for draining
