well here's the scenario. i'm driving my car with it in D4 and i go to step on the gas a touch to accelerate and the rpms don't move and the car gains speed really slowly almost as if someone has their foot on the brake. but if i give it a good quick juice with my foot it kicks in fine. well i researched for days (literally) and came to the conclusion that it could be the TCC solenoid assembly so i pulled it out, cleaned out the solenoids, replaced the gasket/screen thing and put it all back on and everything seemed to be working great. until now.. it seems to be doing it all over again so i'm thinking that the solenoid assembly may just be pretty worn out or just gunked up inside and needs to be replaced? i'm just curious if this conclusion makes sense to you guys and if anyone else has had this problem. its a 2.2 liter btw.

 

by the way the TCC solenoid is known as the Lock Up Control Solenoid on acuras and hondas and stuff, for clarification.

 

Well the lockup solenoids on my accord (same motor) went and it wouldn't go into 1st or 3rd easily. I just picked up another pair for like $30 on ebay.

 

hmmm. my car doesn't have a problem in any other gear except for D4 when it does that weird "i don't feel like going right now" thing i described. its almost as if the its not unlocking the torque converter so the cars having a hard time accelerating. hella weird and bugs the shit outta me
