Searched- no can find- brake question

Hi, new guy here, I have a 97 with the 3.0. Just going through the brakes and the rear lower slide pins (not sure about the terminology) were seized up. I was able to rehab them sufficiently to make them work OK, but I would really like to replace them (already ordered) and the bracket that they slide into. My question is, are the brackets available, or would I have to order the entire caliper? If available, where can I get them- part number (Honda or Acura) would be a really great thing to have Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you are referring to.

Check out acuraautomotiveparts.org

you should be able to use the diagram to figure out what your part numbers are.

Hi, I'm referring to the piece in the second pic in this thread

https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-problems-fixes-71/seized-rear-caliper-788768/

It's a bracket that contains the two slide pins, apparently a pretty common problem with these cars. The web site you linked to is no help at all. I'm unable to find anything there, not even a complete caliper (maybe I'm missing it?). The piece I need is shown here:

https://www.oemacuraparts.com/index....0BRAKE%20(DISK)

It's the U shaped bracket in the bottom right portion of the diagram. It doesn't have a number associated with it. Any ideas? Thank you, Dan.

They should be sold seperatly.

But as long as the slide fine, you should be ok

Well, they slide, but not as easily as I would like. I'm sure the inside is pitted just like the pin is. They work well enough for now, but I'd feel a lot better with new ones- one of the rubber seals is trashed also.

Found it just fine.

The pins are cheap enough, though when mine started to seize up, I just went and replaced the whole caliper. Just look it up at Advance or Autozone, they're not that expensive.

I have the pins ordered. The part I'm wondering about is the bracket that the pins slide into (on the rear left brake). The piece is shown in drawings (it's roughly U shaped), but without a number by it (at least not that I've seen). Any idea on that? Thanks, Dan.

I don't see a number either, looks like its a sub-assembly from the caliper assembly, probably only available if you order the whole caliper assembly.
