Has anyone else had their ABS, VSA and Tire Pressure (!) lights come on in their car? I recently had my front brakes (pads & rotors) and also my front wheel bearings and hubs replaced (actually only one hub). The problem with the lights started immediately after I had that work done.

My mechanic thought the problem was a dysfunctional front right ABS wheel speed sensor. So I just shelled out more money & had that replaced. Afterward, the ABS & VSA lights went out for about 10 minutes but as I was driving home on the highway, they came right back on and have remained on. Also, at different times, when I press on the brake, my ABS are kicking in and I'm also hearing a motorized sound. When the brake does that, the ABS light goes off (the VSA and tire pressure light stay on though). When the ABS noise doesn't happen, the light stays on.

I am at a loss as to what the issue is. Can anyone out there help??

well, you kinda narowed it down, you had work done , then the issue so its got to be. the speed sensor plug might be loose or dirty from when it was off. ** never rule out the mechanic fucking shit up to get you to pay his bills, mechanics run BUSINESSES. but i wouldnt go acusing or assuming yet.
check the connections and clean them.

the motorized sound you speak of is that FAKIN ABS, that means its working so that if you dont know how to drive and slam your brakes on it will engage, you will hear that god awful sound and the peddle will feel fluttery, thats abs alright, I H8 ABS. it sucks, ive done tests in 3 different vehicals infront of sceptic friends where in winter i first do 50 kms to a stop sign and slam the brakes on with abs and slid threw the intersection, then the same but i pump (the 1 step above amature move) and the same results, then i take out the abs fuse and slam the brakes, now depending on the road serface (winter in canada is always ice) its usually the same or worse than abs but ive had a couple be a shorter stop, the pump is the same as abs (as thats what its designed to mimic) but with the proper driving techniques its amazing. you dont slam on the brakes nor does one pump rather a combo, you brake and feel the tires slip then slight pumps while you turn the wheels into better surface /direction. works every time, i consistantly stop shorter every time.
