No brake lights or horn/shifter stuck in "PARK" on 97 Acura CL 2.2
I have a 97 Acura CL 2.2 Automatic Trans.
The "Horn" & "Stop light switch"(?brake light switch?) are on the same fuse and the fuse keeps blowing. But the main problem is that the shifter will not go into gear because of no brake lights(This is a safety precaution I'm told). I replaced the "brake light switch" at the pedal, but when I put the new fuse in, I get brake lights for one push on the brakes, then the fuse blows again, and I still have no horn or brake lights, with my shifter stuck in park. Does anyone have a clue what is going on? Thanks-
J

I would head to the rear and pull out your tail light bulbs and try again. If it still blows, you have a short someplace.
Have a multimeter or willing to go grab one from walmart for $15? Set it to continuity (the setting that beeps if you touch the leads together) and connect one lead to a good bare piece of metal and probe the green w/ white stripe wire that comes off the brake pedal switch. If you get a beep, you most definitely have a short to gound.
