Problem with heated seat switch

I have a 98 and my passenger side heated seat switch wont light up. I tried using a new bulb and that didn't work. The seat does heat up so the switch works. I also moved both switches to the other side and the original passenger side switch still won't light up, but the original driver's side switch works fine on either side. So I came to the conclusion that the problem is internal in the switch.Should I just get a new switch or is there some way to fix the problem.

Yep, switch needs replaced. I'm surprised the new bulbs didn't fix the problem. Are you sure you replaced the correct one?
I'm sure you know, there are two. If you're talking about backlighting, it is usually a long, tubular bulb part no: 35511-SM4-000. If you are talking about the indicator light, it is the short stubby one you need a small flathead to remove: part no. 35851-SM4-003 See illustration "17" on the bottom left.

If those do not work, replace the switch.

I have fixed mine by opening the switch and replacing the 12v bulb inside. I went to radio shack and purchased a 12v lamp that has two leads coming out of it. You should be able to use a meter and verify you have 12v at the point where the bulb plugs in.
