Hood Won't Open....Help!
Hi everyone. I'm having a problem with my 98 CL. It's been sitting a while, and I need to jump start it. I pulled the lever by the clutch pedal, it popped the hood, but now there is no tension on the lever inside. When I go to open the hood, it only lifts maybe 1" for me to access the lever under the hood, but the lever barely even moves and doesn't release the hood. So now I have a hood that won't open, and won't fully close either. I've read that 1 possible solution is to access the cable behind the grill, but I can't seem to find it. I'm willing to take the bumper off, but wouldn't know what to do after that. Anybody happen to have a pic with the location of the hood cable behind the grill? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

where is....
when you go to push the lever up, instead of pushing the tab where you are suppose to just push the middle of the lever to the right.
like say this is the hood latch lever L at the button of the L is where you are suppose to push up, but instead go for the middle of the L and push it to the right.

I understand what you're saying. Unfortunately my hand is too big and can barely get under the hood to reach the middle of the latch, so it didn't work for me. I tried taking off the bumper for easier access, but it seems there are still 3 plastic fasteners by the hood latch that I need to take out. I don't have much clearance to get to those, so it'll be tricky. What a PITA this turned out to be.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

OttaWacK, thanks for your suggestions. I tried doing what it says in the link, but I just can't get my hand/arm up there enough to unbolt the latch. And I don't feel like doing what that person did....cut a hole in the bottom to get to it. I feel like less of a man doing this, but my wife has AAA and a place by us said they would do it for cheap. I've messed around with it for long enough and just want it fixed already. Thanks again.
