No Brake Lights, but can still sift out of park. Help!

None of my break lights are coming on. I suspect it's the brake light switch, but here's the thing. I have replaced the bulbs, checked the brake/horn fuse with a meter. The odd thing is I can still sift from pack to drive, and this make me think its not the switch and its something else.

What might it be?

Might be your fuse, should check if the fuse is blown.

Yes but the horn wouldn't work if the fuse was blown, right?

Are you talking about an over all electrical system ground or a bad ground for the switch?

There is a push switch located on the brake...when you push it it slides open and makes contact turning on the brake light circuit. In older cars...it can go bad and get "stuck" to where you press the brake and the little needle doesn't OPEN and engage the juice. Check it...you'll see what I'm talking about...it's going to be a little push thing that you'll see touching somewhere up the brake pedal. Press brake with hand and push pin in and out and have someone tell you if it starts working.

Try greasing up the pin and unplug and replug it in to see if that works.
