New Starter?

so today i tried to start the car and it wouldn't. All the electronics were working fine but just in case i tried to jump it and that didn't work. So i talked to some people and found it its probably the starter. What im wondering is if any of you guys have replaced yours and how much do u think its gonna cost?

call autozone, advance auto, whoever, and get a quote from them.

Download the shop manual if you don't have one already. The starter is an easy piece to replace if you have at least amatuer automotive skills.

What noises is it making when you try and tun over the engine?

Could be the battery. Even though your electronics work, its possible there isn't enough juice to turn the starter.

It makes one click, and we tried to jump it but it still wouldn't start. Now im actually gonna take it to the dealership and have it inspected there and if its the starter they will replace it for $370.

Sounds starter-ish to me, especially if you jumped your car, AND took the battery out and had it tested and it passed.
