ok so.... 97 3.0 CL. Wont start. Door locks dont work. I checked literally every fuse in the car. I havent been using the alarm because my dog ate the remote so i figure this could be it. I bought a new one from acura.... cant get it programmed. Load tested the battery, it is fine and brand new. Ignition switch is sending the signal through the ignition signal fuse so the switch is good. What am I missing?

ok update, i swear its the alarm. I got really pissed off, took a pair of pliers, jumped the starter solenoid and it starts right up. How do I either get rid of this alarm, or get it to let me reprogram the remote. I know everyone says you have to have the right remote but acura says there is only one and I bought the one they say. HELP HELP HELP!!!

Look through some older threads, I think I read one on this topic pretty recently

 

yeah i searched them all. It seems everyone had a dead battery. In the meantime i ran a wire from the starter signal fuse to the starter relay and its good to go but i dont understand how to defeat the factory alarm ignition kill. OR reset it so I can program a remote or use the key and no remotes and no alarm or whatever I have to do to get this going again.

seems like the alarm is armed, will the doors lock from the switch inside?

i completely agree. problem is... i cant seem to turn it off... cant get a new key fob to program. I can NOT lock the doors from the inside switch.

 

try to pull the alarm fuse.....if there is one.

 

tried it already.... doesnt work.

 

no one here knows how to disarm the factory alarm without a key fob?

 

unlock the door with the key from the outside, but thats all i can think of.

 

nah that doesnt seem to do it. ignition is still killed.... door locks still dont work.
