power windows DONT WORK HELP!!!!! PLEASE?

alright i searched but there was nothing like this.. this is the deal i drive a 1999 2.3CL and just recently the power windows have been giving me problems.

****these are the symptoms****
driver and passenger side windows do not work down
the power mirrors adjuster doesnt work
the lock and unlock doesnt work (on driverside.. but works on the passenger side)

i took apart the door because i thought the plug was just loose but that wasnt the problem and i checked the fuses to see if they blew for any reason. I'm thinking its either the switch or regulator? has anyone ever experienced this problem or know what the problem is? if you do please share thanks

Bummer man. My passenger side window gives me problems. Sometimes it wont roll back up, so I just don't risk it anymore. It's pretty common I guess.

sounds like the switches are bad on both.

either go to the junk yard, or look at www.acuraautomotiveparts.org for a new one.

i couldnt find the switches on www.acuraautomotiveparts.org but i think its kinda strange that both switches went bad at the exact same time.. i was hoping someone has experienced the same problem so i would know what to replace instead of assuming what was wrong with it.

anyone else have this happen to them?

just try a drivers side switch. It can cause both to not work, plus it would cause your mirrors to not move.

look at #7

could be one, could be both. You've got some weird problems.

Common theme in your problem is driver's side door. Mirrors, windows, and door locks are separate circuits but both go to drivers. I would look for damage to the wiring harness either at door hinge or behind door panel. Perhaps something damaged the harness jumper to the door and damaged. Could be damaged connectors also behind door panel.

good luck
