Major Upcoming Fixes
Hello! I have three upcoming high dollar fixes on my 1999 CL: From the dealership (a very trustworthy one, albeit expensive, of course): The oil pump is leaking (not a lot--I check the oil weekly and add when necessary), the valve cover gaskets are starting to leak, and the power steering pump is seeping. About $4,000 in fixes.
I'm not sure how much longer I can drive it without getting these items replaced.
Is there any collectible market for the CL? It's starting to cost me more and more, and I know that some parts aren't made anymore.
Does anybody have any thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah, well, the first excellent mechanic that I had died. The second one (very well recommended) told me that I should get a new car because parts will become unavailable. The dealership did not charge me to run a diagnostic on the car to see what I need to have done, and they have Acura certified techs. And a waiting room when I can't leave my car. I haven't gone back to them for these fixes.
My question remains: Are these CLs worth keeping? Will there be a time where parts cannot be sourced, other than through junkyards or through parted out CLs on Facebook Marketplace.

This is a subjective question that, perhaps, only you can answer, see below.

, not yet when it pertains to your specific components.Oil pump availability:

Therefore, to strengthen the subjective answer to your first question, if you desire preserving the 1999 3.0 CL to keep it from the crusher, invest now in at least the parts above while they are available.
Then when they start 'crapping the bed' find a local Acura / Honda specialty repair shop (as mentioned above) that will save you large $$ when it comes to labor for replacement.
Thanks everyone! I did find a really good and honest Honda mechanic in town, who just started working on Acuras, and he fixed me up. It turned out that the distributor was leaking, and there was oil in it, so after replacing that and having to reseal the oil pan with better silicone, I'm all fixed up. There's still a small leak, but we're keeping an eye on it.
I really appreciate everyone's guidance!

Glad to hear.
With newer cars becoming more and more expensive, older cars will be worth keeping on the road.
Btw if you ever need to replace that p/s pump it's worth going new. I've had bad luck with reman pumps.
