low power f22b1

car feels slow on the pedal ! like low power, i made a hard turn the other day and it felt really slow on that hard left.i have new spark plugs gapped at .40 and new wires .car idels smooth but when i get it pass 3rpm i hear a low knocking sound. I would hate if its the fuel pump but i really dont think so....no hesitations. i think the distributor may be off timing, whats the symptoms? i think its that bcuz it picks up s nice pass 60 mph, and if i do stomp on the pedal it runs pretty fast ! ......4 reference ( cai,ngk spark plug wires, headers, platinum denso spark plugs, new rotor cap) thanks plenty

no i do not have access to timing light at all at the moment ...should i mess with distributor? like the loose bolts and move left right trick...also by trying out higher octane should that reveal anything?

Were u in the hood when u revved it and heard the sound? Or in the car? its possible the knocking sound you heard was probably just the rockers rattling. but thats just speculation

also, with all due respect, the f22b1 is a single cam vtec. its nice, but not super powerful for a 4 cyl. and if im not mistaken most power goes to the right front wheel

i still hear that low knocking sound ! i got ripped axle boots(not clicking at all) when i turn the car on it sounds fine till it finishes warming up then i hear low knocking sound towards the bottom timing belt side. car runs good and its smooth...dont hear it at all driving in highway or decent speed. i do infact hear it a bit pulling out of drive way in 1st gear in low rpms. its a 4clyinder automatic btw thank you !
