lights behind the climate control panel

how to you get to the lights behind the buttons that work the climate control? I think the one that lights up "off" and temp lower is burnt out. The automatic button lights up along with the higher temp button but the ones I mentioned doesn't illuminate. Anyhow do I remove the wood grain piece to gain access to these bulbs or does anyone know what steps to take to get to them?

The climate control has 2 screws under the main unit, then 2 wire harnesses and it will come right out

Oh Lord, maybe that little light being out doesn't bother me as much as I thought it did

ok, I took off the woodgrain panel and still see no lights. Does anyone know how to gain access to the lights that illuminate the buttons on the climate control? Can you just pull the buttons off and have access to the bulbs or are they in the rear of the unit where I need to unscrew the whole climate control unit to have access to the bulbs?

You need to remove the little screws in the back and undo the clips, then you can seperate the 2 pieces and get to the bulbs in the back

Yes the bulbs are in the back. you basically have to pull the unit out. its really not that hard...

mine went out on my 97 CL and i just gave it 2 good taps to the top of the dash and they came back on and stayed on to this day. guess I got lucky
