I let mine get pretty low last week and my light never came on. I know it worked with the old gauges in it because i saw it come on when I first got the car so i took the gauges apart and switched the light just to be sure. I wish it was one of the lights that illuminated when you first turned the switch on like the rest of them

Does the fuel light come on right before starting the car or not?

Mine does the same thing, I am thinking the light bulb is burnt?

No, I wish it was one of the ones that did illuminate to show the bulb is working but its not one of them

How do you know that it does not come on, is it in the manual? I am thinking of taking it apart and testing the bulb!

Mine has never worked either. When the needle hits E, I have about another 40 miles before I need to fill up.

Because I turn the switch to position 2 and it doesn't illuminate! when the tank gets down on E then it shines bright (at least it has since I changed the bulb). I may not have let it get low enough the first time but I changed it anyway to make sure

we have a 2 gallon reserve tank, chances are you're still hitting that, does your guage work otherwise, like on full, etc?

gauge works fine... at E sometimes doesnt start quick.. second turnover starts, but the time it ran out,, i just wouldnt start, wierd thing is i managed to fit 55 L into it after, on a 65L tank ( wherd the 10 L go), so im thinking maybe something with the pump or pickup

This has been a problem for me for a long time. I tried changing the bulb with another one in the cluster and that didn't fix the problem. I'm pretty sure its a signal issue from the quantity sensor. Ideas on a cheap fix? Other than that, i couldn't care less.
