How do I restore my headlights from sun damage?
Hi there,
I'm new to this site I was referred by a friend. I recently bought my 97 CL 2.2 and I've slowly been trying to restore it. I was wondering if anyone new how to restore the stock headlights from sun damage? I can't afford new headlights at this time.

try using a glass polisher paste. go find a mothers product and get a buffing wheel if you dont want your arm to fall off and just slowly start buffing the glass...it mite help to wetsand the headlights first but i dont know the actual condition of your headlights....

Just went through this myself
I bought my daughter this well used CL 3.0, and the lights were fogged. The car was kept outside and had etched dingy yellowish light lenses. I used metal polish on the plastic to bring them back to a briliant clear. I knew this because I have also done the same procedure on other cars. Here is a pic taken during the process.
Left finished, and right still untouched.
here is more of the car.

i tried 3 different kinds of metal polish and 2 different toothpastes, but i can't get my driver side headlight clear.
up close, it looks and feels like somebody waxed it.
the passenger side headlight is a little cloudy, but not really.
assuming this is wax on the headlight, any ideas how to get it off besides metal polish and toothpaste?
I don't know what wetsanding is, but I hear that's an alternative.

GO to Pep Boys AUtoZone or Discount and ask for their headlight kit. It cost 20 dollars.
