Recently I’ve noticed that my engine’s idle dips sometimes. I think it happens more with the AC on. It will go down from it’s normal 1K to 250ish,,, then recover back to 1K. I have a ’98 2.3 CL with 205K miles. Could it be a sign of something? Like an alternator that is starting to go?

Mine started to do this in the past few weeks. It never acually stalls, but apprears to get very close to stalling..........the RPMS drop to like 250 then she recovers and idles fine. It only happens when slowing down right when i push the clutch in. (its a 5-speed). However, my car only has 85k miles on it.

anyone know whats up with it?
