emblem removal?
emblem removal?
hi guys, i wanted to remove the two emblems from the backside of my trunk, "Acura" and "3.0CL". Now I did read the DIY for the removal to use "Goo Gone", hair dryer, and floss. I just bought this car at 73K miles, I'm afraid if I take the emblems off, the area where the emblems were on will be discolored because I have a black car, what do u guys think, just use goo gone, anything else i should use, i hear wd-40 is good??? i know i have to wax too afterwards
...is now Carbon Fiber'd

nope just heat up the emblems, then floss it, then goo gone, then wax...thats it!
If you have stubborn "shadows" then you can use a car polish to buff them out before you wax.

Don't be scared. I took mine off @ 50,000 miles on a dark blue car. The ghosting is minimal. I can't even see mine anymore, and all I did was put some wax on it and do it by hand.

Yeah, I can help you put your v2 in. I have a floor jack, jack stands, tire irons, all that jazz. I would be more than happy to help, you may want to use my garage since i have the jack and all that. Let me know when you could do it. You'd have to come to town from uniontown, I'm always willing to rip apart a cl
