dropped something into my radiator

I was draining my coolant today and I think something metal fell into my radiator. I think it was a little nut or washer, whatever sits under the spring that provides tension to the radiator cap. I took the spring out to make it easier to fill, and that must have been the little metal piece went into the radiator. Am I screwed? I don't want it tearing up my water pump. Is there any way to get it out?

I have no idea man, I would doubt it would get very far given the design of the rad, hope it doesn't make it into your block but I doubt it.

try an extend-a-magnet type thing. Clean it very well and try it. Maybe you can get it.

Magnet is a great idea, otherwise you may have to drain it and remove it to flip it upside down

Try to exhaust all options before flushing cause it might take a wrong path and get stuck somewhere you will never get to, especially the block.

A smart way around that is to disconnect the hoses BEFORE you flush, and you won't end up with that problem..........just saying............
