A few days ago i got my 2.3 cl back from a friend who has had it for a while. Today the check engine light comes on and stays on, so i checked it out and the car was like 2 quarts low on oil. So i put the oil in and the light went off. Later on my wife was driving it and she said that now the check engine light is flashing, does it mean something different if the light is flashing instead of staying on?

 

flashing means misfire. which means take it to autozone and they can pull your code for free.

 

how about if it just stays on? cause i have it checked out many times but nothing is wrong with the car. it goes off for like two days and then it comes right back on. its funny because when check engine light is off, i get so much more torgh and speed and when it comes on it slows down my pick up, what da heck is going on?

 

prolly primary o2 sensor. check the code when the cel (check engine light) comes on heres instructions how to.
