How can I get the check engine light to go off?

 

fix the problem or reset the computer by using a code reader or unplugging the battery for a few minutes. If you have the factory radio be sure you have your code before you do it. If you don't fix the problem the light will come back on

 

go to autozone and ask to borrow a OBD2 sensor. so you can see why you are throwing a CEL. you can clear it from there but it will come back sooner or later.

to plug in the OBD2 take out the cigarette tray and plug from there.
