Check Engine Light

I just got a new muffler put on my '98 CL 2.3 and on my way home the "Check Engine" light came on. I pulled over and everything seemed ok. Any suggestions on what I should/could do to make the light go off? What damage could be done to the car if I keep driving it?

try resetting your ECU. unplug your battery for 10 min and then see if it goes away.

Don't reset the ECU just yet. Get the code extracted by Autozone. If its an O2 sensor fault, they may have damaged or disconnected one of the O2 sensors. I would take it back and make sure the problem is not related to the work. If not, then you can reset.

good luck
