Belt to bypass AC
Belt to bypass AC
I just bought my car and the last alternator belt fell off a little bit at the a/c compressor pulley and it ripped to pieces. I put on a new belt last night thinking the mechanic did a mistake and it did the same thing after 2min. I could see the belt and pulley moving back and forth on the pulley so I'm guessing the bearing is bad. I already checked the noob posting but I just want a second opinion on this. If I were to order a belt for a honda 94-97 accord with no a/c, would it fit on my acura 2.2 cl if I were to put it on the alternator and the crank pulley which bypasses the a/c? That's the idea anyways, my a/c doesn't work so I would just like to bypass it, do you think it'll fit?
Well my a/c system is too expensive for me to repair so I just want to bypass the ac compressor. Will a serpentine belt from an 94-97 accord with no ac fit on my 2.2? Apparently it says they are both f22b1 engine.
I took my a/c compressor out and measured the distance from the bottom pulley to the alternator, although I can't remember the exact distance. Went to pepboys and bought a couple belts for like $20 and put them on. Car has ran just fine since.
