Battery issues? Car almost shuts off.. Help please
Well I was driving through the city tonight going around 20ish since there was a basketball game tonight so it was mobbed. Anyway, I was driving and my lights were dimming terrible while my subs hit. So I turned the subs off assuming my capacitor had shit the bed or something and the amp was drawing too much power from my battery. After shutting the subs off the problem continued to happen. My lights then turned off, headlights, guages, all interior lights and the radio also shut off.
I have no idea what is going on here.. not gonna lie. It only does this at low rpm's so it's not the alternator I dont' think. If I'm around 1000rpms or under it does this, but if i rev the engine the lights are back to being bright and they don't dim at all. Same with highway driving, if I'm cruising along it will be fine.
Any ideas whats wrong?
