I just got my new motor mounts put on to fix the vibrating, and when my car was up on the lift we realized one of my axles was bent. It drove pretty bad and actually vibrated worse since we put the new mounts in.

Well about the time i got home my car was getting worse and worse and was knocking, squeaking, vibrating, and shaking the entire car.

Right now we are thinking that i broke that axle, OR my jerkshaft fucked up (probably the bearing) . Possibly both.

The jerk shaft in my car is used and looked good, but it would have resistance during a small part of the rotation.

If it was bent why didn't you just replace it at the time? It's probably just the axle thats messing things up. I gotta change mine pretty soon, I hate the clicky sound.

 

Because my car had been at the shop all day and we didnt find out it was bent until after they were closed, and i need my car to get to work the next day.

 

for a 97 2.2cl 5spd i need 97 accord 5spd axle WITH ABS, correct? I think my car has ABS...

unforunately, just more crap and weight in our engine bay.

 

just go to your local autoparts store and get some for the CL,... I got mine a few weeks ago, not too expensive either...

 

NAPA sells them already rebuilt (here in West Central Florida at least.)
