Ok any help would be apprecaiated. 98 acura cl wont start. put the key in, go to start it and nothing. New battery installed and nothing. Does not crank and you can hear the starter click every time keys cycled. Im thinking its the starter but not sure. any quick fixes or tips to get this thing running?

 

Honestly it probably going to be your starter! I had to change mine about a 1 month ago! Mine also clicked every time!

You can install the starter yourself! It pretty simple.

 

The easiest way to find out if its your starter is to get a wrench or hammer and tap it a few times, then try to start it. If it starts then that means the starter is going out.

 

This sounds like the problem I just had in the parking lot 2 blocks from my house. No prior issues before this. Just went to start it and it wouldnt click, wouldnt do nothing. All the lights on the dash were on, headlights didnt dim when I tried starting it.
All signs led to the starter. I took the starter off (in the parking lot. Only two well stuck bolt then disconnect the wires-10mins tops). Had it tested at two different parts stores, it passed.
Put it back on and it still didnt start. Car is just sitting in the lot. Might go back to tonite and try and push it the 2 blocks home.

 

Although your lights didn't dim, I'd check the battery and alternator too just to be sure. Then check the main relay to see if when you turn the key if it's clicking over

 

I havent found any good main relay diagrams. Anyone have a good photo or DIY on how to check it? I am pretty sure it is a 7 pin brown connector, just not positive on how to get to it. under dash panel off and tried removing the bracket it is attached to.
