I used the paper clip to flash the abs codes 1997 2.2 CL and got 4-8 LR sensor, replaced and immediately got code 4-4 RR sensor. The 4-4 code did not flash before I replaced the LR sensor. Has anyone seen this before.
OHM reading on the old LR sensor was 27 M ohms.
I don't want to chase this with new sensors unless I have to, they are a little expensive.

 

I had the same problem, ABS light came on, found out it was my back left ABS sensor. Went ahead and replaced it and almost immediately after replacing the left one the right rear sensor went bad. Unfortunately I didnt do alot of research into finding out why they went bad, I figured they were so old that it was time to replace them.

It just cause it get old, I have replaced both rears one after another! Haven't had any abs issue afterwards! Good Luck - oemacura is where I got sensor from!
