97 cl p0715
Hello all I NEED YOUR help please
- I have a 97 acura cl that keeps giving me code P0175.
- It drives perfect for about 15miles than starts down shiffting and D4 light blinks always gives code P0715.
- After the vehicle is shut down and restarted drives for another 5miles with no problem and than same as above
- Main shaft sensor reades between 425 to 465 Ohm.
- NO short between B10 / B17 and ground
- Reading the main shaft sensor at the TCM reades about 475 to 500 ohm.
- Have replaced both Shaft sensors and the TCM still the same problem.
- ALL internal parts have been checked // ALL OK
I assume that's a typo in the first bullet point since it's not a trans code.
Sounds like you've ruled out faulty sensor and faulty sensor wiring. This leaves the ground circuit to check. Since you've checked other items, you must have a manual. Have you checked the ground circuit as specified? Do this to be sure.
If ground side checks OK, this leaves a defective TCM as most likely problem. I recently had to replace the ECM on my 97 Acura TL. When I removed ECM and examined the circuit board I found a corrosion spot w/ damaged circuits due to a leaking electrolytic capacitor. This may be your problem also.
Used TCM should be available and reasonable through car-part.com. That's how I got my ECM for $45 inc. shipping. You have to call the yard to get a "live person". These salvage yard guys never answer emails.
good luck
