Hello folks...I am new as is my/my daughter's car. I got a great buy on a used CL and was told the trannie had been pulled and gone through thoroughly. With 180k on the clock I had to know all that had been done to the car and the documentation I recieved was exceptional. After driving the car for about three weeks I noticed one evening the D-4 indicator on the dash was blinking and the car did not want to move from resting very well. I shut it off and everything returned to normal on re-start. The book (owner's manual) says not to drive the car with the trannie acting like that. It has done it several more times and usually seems alright after a restart. I did one time drop it down and shift it manually and it drove fine. Does anybody have some suggestions on things to check. I am 500 miles away from the trannie guy and he is not a nation wide shop so I wanted to see what I could do before making the trip back to him. One post I read on here sounded similar and that fellow indicated the lock-up control solenoid was the culprit. If so tell me more about that animal.
