3.0 CL Transmission

For those with trans failures, did you experience the trans acting up in auto for the first couple miles when cold and then it became worse?
Or did the trouble come on suddenly?
Also, how many have the cold start out trouble? I find it very odd that it wants to slip out of gear and jumps around in auto, but in D1 and D2, its as tame as can be. This tells me that it's not a severe mechanical problem, but more electronic. What do you think?
Thanks for the help.
Rick

oh man, if you search up on the tranny problems 3.0's have had, you'd be amazed at the myriad of problems and symptoms people have had prior to their tranny going

Some have had it be bad when cold, then be fine on the warm up, only to go out a few months later. While others have had them be good, then jerky on the highway.

Just search out some of the old threads, that should give you some good background on our trannies.

Honda fluid! Honda Fluid!!!!!
I am definitely a believer now.
You wouldn't believe the difference the $5.70 per quart hyd fluid makes.

I urge anyone who is skeptical, and has these issues with their trans to try using the right stuff.
