1999 CL 3.0L Tranny Solenoid testing->tranny slips on 1&2 gear when cold
Every morning I have to warm the car, drive about 2 blocks, when the tranny slips and you hear a big thump when it catches back on.
This happens until it looks like the car is warm or the tranny seals are warm.
1. change Honday tranny oil every 35K, I've done this
2. Took out Tranny "shifter" solenoid the one with 2 round cylinder looking. a) checked the filter it was fine clean no dirt or grime.
3. No check engine light related issues.
Ive got the shifting solenoid out and tested it, both solenoids sound the same when just running a 'hot' wire to it...I don't know if that's the best way of checking it. I was hoping one wouldn't work so that would resolve my problem.
The car is outstanding when it's warmed up after just few minutes a block around it's like nothing is wrong with it.
I don't know if the tranny is totally gone, PLEASE!! any advise is greatly appreciated.

i've tried the battery load test
When I changed the tranny oil, there was a lot of metal shavings, so I'm assuming the tranny is going.....
