My 99 2.3 CL
Hey everyone,
My first post!
Here is a picture of me and my new rims that I just got put on my 99 2.3 CL.
Not much done in the way of modification besides 22% window tint all around, 18" chrome rims and sound system.
I just purchased this car a few months ago and really enjoy it. The best part is that it only has 22,000 miles on it. Not too bad for being a 99…
That’s about it for now. See ya!

Hey all!! wow so many responses so fast! haha cool.
I got it for $13,000 from a used car lot in Limerick, PA.
It only has 18,000 miles on it when I got it. The dealer said it was owned by one person in NYC that never drove it. Small amount of rust on the bottom of the exhaust from just sitting there and letting water lay on it. The dealer said I could get a new exhaust "at cost" when I do eventually need a new one.
It's not all good news to report though, I just got these rims off craigslist.com for $450 bucks (great deal!) however, I went to pep boys to get the rims installed... here is where the drama starts... ok get this...
1st trip to pep boys:
- the guy i bought the rims from had tires with them. However pep boys said the tires were shot (they did look very bald to me too) so I get 4 new tires. Then asked them to speed balance them. Two and a half hours of waiting at pep boys one service worker comes from out back and says "your lug nut cap broke". These rims have allen wrench locks that go into a plastic over that covers the lug nuts, you can see from the picture above what I'm talking about. Then they super glue it back together, in the morning i see dried super glue coming down the front of my back left rim! I'm like oh man! And the car shakes like crazy once I get to 15 mph!! So I called pep boys and they said come back to re-balance them...
2nd trip to pep boys:
- They re-balance the tires, I watch them hammer on metal weights to the back of the chrome rims... while I'm trying to talk to the supervisor at the time (some fat lady in a white shirt) and telling her they broke the cover on the rim! She said they would pay for half of it if I bought a new one!! I'm freaking out at this point. I could tell she wasn't budging and I had to talk to someone higher up. After they were done with the car I went home.
The next day I called the guy who's picture was hanging on the wall with the title of "Service Station Expert" or something along those lines... He was very helpful. Said he would replace everything. That's great, but my car still shakes when it hits 50+ mph on the highway! AND I feel the breaks pulsating every time I come to a stop, its like even a slow stop feels like I just slammed on the breaks going from 50 mph to zero. Now I think the rotors are messed up cause the over tightened the lug nuts!!! This Friday I'm going back to meet with the Service station head person... but this whole experience sucks. I'm never going here again.
Sorry it was a little off topic but this is killing me. The car was great now the steering wheel shakes and the breaks are acting up. Ughhhh...
Thanks for listening

yeah i did get the carfax. It was in a fender bender in 2000. I guess the past owner that lived in NYC couldn't handle that city traffic...
I thought it might have been rolled back too... but the engine was squeaky clean and everything looked brand new. My mechanic said he was shocked too.

Still amazed on the miles, now that you got a cl you should come down to franklin mills mall in Phila on the 5th. We are going to have a pretty big meet. Check out the thread on az meets. Don't worry about the shaking you will get used to it trust me, the faster you drive the less you feel it so drive fassssssstttttt,
