New Steering Wheel

Has anyone considered doing a DIY for replacing the steering wheel with another, like a honda or acura rsx steering wheel with the airbag?

theres a bunch of people on here who have swapped steering wheels, i specifically remember seeing an Ep3 wheel or two. i know nate tried to swap a gsr wheel and it didnt line up..

If i was going to swap wheels though, id go for a detachable 300 MM one, preferable momo with a detachable hub

nooooooo! do not get a detachable please! ive heard way too many stories and including one video of people racing and when they pull the wheel too hard, it pops right off. easily a way to get fucked over. stick with a wheel that is stuck on please. id think itd be safer to go with oem, since they have an airbag.

Try searching, members on here have swapped civic and RSX air bags and steering wheels, I swapped a 2001 CL-S wheel with 98 airbag, my write-up is at the end of this thread. Note since you have a 97 the swap is harder, but still doable, but no matter what you'll need a new airbag as well.

Well, the airbag isn't going to plug in so try to find it as cheap as possible

no its just that it would look weird as hell if you have a big open space on your steering wheel where the airbag or cover is supposed to be... dont you think?
