k series swap

has anyone done this yet? i hate my friends...just recived a phone call, my buddys wife's element was wreak last week and asked me if i want to buy the k24 w/ auto..to slap in my 2.2 auto

I'd love for you to be the first.

I'm curious to know if the 5th gen accord k-series mounts will work on a 2.2 as well. If so, then this might be epic

k24 auto wont be much of an improvement over your 2.2 auto...

the mounts do work but the element tranny doesnt you need to get a 03-05 accord tranny or 04-06 tsx tranny along with the shift linkage and such theres a guy on here in the process of this swap if i didnt crash mine that was on the agenda...

your telling me a dohc 2.4 w/5speed auto will not be much of a improvement over a sohc 2.2 w/4speed auto....i think differntly,,,then slap a k20z head on it. BAM!!!

Do it then but you'll have to make custom mounts for the tranny have fun!

well droping in the cl is a bust. but shopping around for a old cheap civic to slap it in

Why would it be a bust? Hasport makes K series mounts for the CD accord which Im pretty sure would work for the CL, being that the Hasport mounts for the CD accord also work for the CL. Give it a try!

I'm actually in the process of doing a k24 swap out of a tsx in my 98 2.3 and correct the hasport mounts do work from what i've measured and just looking at the mounting points
