yep, no problem, that manual looks a little weird on the first pages, but it still seems like it's got all the same info.

Does anyone here have air breathers, it looks like a miniature air filter somewhere in the engine. What are air breathers? How to install them? I saw some in a local store and was wondering what they are for.

you could kinda say its pointless...all it does is not let all the spent gas go back to the intake and the air breather it self just release it to the atmosphere w/o going back to the intake...correct me if im wrong...

Alright new question. Is there a DIY on how to replace your inner and outer CV Boots? I'm getting annoyed of my dad bitching at me for not PERMANENTLY getting a 36mm socket for the Axle knuckle. I want to attempt to do this Thursday (Today) behind my dad's back because I'm sick and tired of hearing that loud scraping noise.

Exclamation need brakes..... Upgrade? part #?'s

ok so I need to do the pads and rotors on the front and rear of my CL, so i figured i would do the upgrade on the front using the legend/prelude dual piston calipers/rotors and was wondering what the exacts part #'s were and which car(s) each part comes from. So far I have:

1. Brake caliper (dual piston) from a 93-95 Acura Legend GS 3.2L

2. Brake rotors from a 92-96 prelude. Not sure which model (i.e- Vtech, SI, or regular)

3. Brake caliper bracket from the same caliper as above or from 3.0L Acura CL. any others?

4. Brake Pads. ??? I am not sure which ones to use? any answers?

5. Brake lines. I want to get stainless braided lines, but am not sure which lines to use? anyone? help

also, i have heard yes/no, but is a different brake booster or proportioning valve from a different vehicle necessary or not?

thanks in advance, i am buying all the parts this weekend and want to only have to buy it once.

Center Console

Has anyone done a DIY of changing their whole center console to match that of a newer TL or something high tech? If not, has anyone ever tried to change their center console? I just swapped a lesser mile engine into this CL that was given to me and now am just looking to accessorize this thing.

I got breathers. You just put them on any free breather on top of the head, and if the intake you have isn't stock, some come with areas for one or two more on the actual pipe. Breathers are essentially just what you said; a filter. You use this instead of a vacuum line.

how to: Trunk actuator / release / popper on 1st gen cl

i've been searching, but no luck. I would like if someone could do a diy on how to install a trunk actuator on a 1st gen cl. or direct me to where i can find a write-up for this.

I hate the fact that I have to go inside my car everytime i need to open the trunk. its getting annoying. i was wondering if anyone ever put an actuator on the trunk opener so that you can press a button on keyless entry remote to pop the trunk.

my car:
97 cl 2.2

Your CL came with a trunk popper stock?

Neway, I found something from another website. Its not for the CL specifically, but it gives you an idea on how to hook a trunk popper to ur car.

http://causeforalarm.thecarthing.com...x.html#integra

I'm planning to use this info to hook my CL, because I don't have it on my car.

I would just buy a factory remote for something like 25 bucks on ebay (higher priced ones) and program it for the car and use it if I were you. it has an alarm and all built right in and a trunk popper right on the remote. They are very easy to program with the instructions on here and you will not have to splice into any wires

Depends on what year CL you have, the rotors and pads are different for the 2.x and the 3.0's. The rotors for the 97's are also different from the 98-99's. What year and engine are your car?

Thanks p0401, i'll do that. I never thought about just getting a factory remote and programming it.
Thanks for the info.

Working on replacing my belt tensioner/idley pulley this weekend..can't find a guide here but according to google the people with the j30 in their accords had to remove a motor mount and jack the motor up to get it out.

i've been googling for awhile and even used alldata and couldn't find a decent picture guide, so i'll hopefully put one together while doing it [for the first time]

Not sure if that's because of rusty bolts you are having trouble getting those off. I remember them being 12mm, both front and rear. I recall using a channel lock pliers to hold down the boot side (careful not to damage the boots) to remove the bolts on the rear calipers. Be sure to use penetrating oil before anything.

I had to heat up the caliper bolts with a torch, after spraying some Liquid Wrench to help loosen them. Good luck with those screws on the rotors, which are almost totally pointless. I ended up banging a large phillips head screwdriver bit into the screws with a hammer, and then using a 1/4 in socket to loosen. Took a few tries, but slow and steady wins the race.

Question DIY Request: Is this a good one?

Okay Okay. How about a DIY for troubleshooting and fixing ABS Code 1? I searched another forum and even they didn't have a fix for this. Accords from 94-97 use the same ABS Modulator, so why not post a DIY on how to fix this?
