From: is everything.
Grab a ball joint separator (can rent it from autozone or just buy it for 10 bucks).
Need a couple open ended wrenches (i think it's a 14mm)
Pliers or cotter pin extractor
Sockets / wrench etc.

This is just from memory, but it should be close enough.
Take off the wheel/tire. You'll see the outer tie rod connected to the knuckle on the rear side of it and it goes right into the steering rack. You will need to remove the cotter pin from the castle nut on the knuckle where the outer tie rod is attached, unbolt the castle nut. Use the ball joint separator and knock it loose from the knuckle. Then you use the open ended wrenches to turn off the outer tie from from the inner. You will see basically 3 wrench points. One will be the locking nut, another place will be past the threads on the inner tie rod and then on the outer you can get a wrench on there. Once you have freed the locking nut, brace the inner rod with the wrench and then turn the outer with the wrench. Once it is loose you should be able to undo it by hand. They are usually not super tight or anything. Do the reverse to get the new one in. Don't forget to lube the ball joint if it isn't already with some all purpose ball joint grease. (under the boot)

Also, try to mark with paint or something where the old one was set at. Maybe spray some white paint or something over the threads/ nut there. That way when you put the new one on it is not super far out of whack. Take pictures if possible, measurements, etc. You don't wanna have to drive to the alignment shop with terrible toe.

when you take the outter tie rod off, you can count the number of turns to remove the tie rod then replace the new tie rod with identical number of turns. Should be close enough to survive the trip to the alignment shop!

I think the pitman puller for large carsworks better than ball joint separator. Pitman avoids hammering and instead 17 mm wrench to turn the bolt. I popped it right off after a few turns, and got the locking nut loose. Then i went to spin off the outer tie rod and the inner tie rod was spinning with the outer tie rod. Anyone know how to get an outer frozen tie rod off an inner tie rod?

Very simple job! I am a learn as you go type person, and this was pretty easy once I got involved in doing it. However, I've had a set of inner tierods for almost 6 months just sitting here staring at me cuz I believe that's a slightly tougher job!
