Yo, new to the cl world, and need some help
Oi, hello!
Ive had my 1997 acura cl 3.0 for abotu 5 months now, and all ive really mod'd on it was some floor neon accents, and replaced my front headlights with brighter ones. i really want to add a new cool air intake, or even a standard air intake, some front lips, and some back lips, but i have no clue what kind will fit the car. Ive looked through a billion websites and try finding something that will fit, but i can barley anything. alot of people out there in the cl world have them, so it has to be accessible. Are they accord parts? is there a secret place i dont konw about?
please fellow acura owners, reccommend some brand names, types, and places i can get some cool stying stuff for the car.... oh please
thanks

I dislike the word, yo!
Anyways, the front lip that you've probably seen mostly is the Wings West Front Air Dam. As for the rear, you have to go with accord lips and have it moddified to fit. If you search, you will find the different lips that were used on people's Cl and the different way they went about having them fitted on. Goodluck on your project.

Welcome to our nightmare...
There is very little stuff that actually "fits" the 1st Gen CL. Most of it is fabricated or modified from other models. Just do your research and ask the tweaking questions when you get started. We are all here for the same reason, but most of us have been in your shoes.

Acura does not recommend it.
If you do it, be ready to add an extra quart to the specified fill quantity. And if you do it, be sure to use propper hosing. My mechanic friend said he saw a Honda Accord with aftermarket TC that was hooked up with some cheap hose and leaky fittings. Subsequently, the kid brought it in for transmission problems.
Also be very careful not to get any water or metal filings/shavings into the fluid stream. Good luck, and have fun.
Oh, not sure of the brand, but Autozone carries several coolers. I think they run between $45 to $100 depending on what you get... BEWARE of "INLINE" coolers. you want one that will sit behind or in front of your radiator.
