Yet another issue..
it was about 3 weeks ago that i was suppose to cruise up to ottawa to pick up my buddy from school & the night before the cruise up i was gonna go out and when i tried to start the car it would turn on then just bog out. Of course i was like wtf? so i kept trying and it would only stay on if i was on the gas and the second i let off it would die.
I got 2 engine lights, #7 - TPS & #10 - IAT. I let the car sit for about an hour and when i tried to start it again it just wouldnt turn on. I was pissed cuz i was already tired of all the BS with this car & now it wouldnt run. So i said fuck it and just let it sit in the garage cuz i didnt wanna deal with it.
Anyways, today i finally decided to replace the TPS sensor which is bitch cuz its riveted on so i just took the TB to a scrapyard and switched it with one off of a 5th gen accord. I just finished installing the new TB like 5 minutes ago and of course the car still wont start. The TPS engine light is gone so the sensor is good & i still have a light for the IAT but that shouldnt stop the car from starting. It cranks and cranks but nothing, almost turned over once but it just popped & nothing.
So i just left it cuz im not in the mood to deal with it but i really dunno what it is... Im beyond tired of this shit & cant wait to get rid of it..FML

bro what ecu are you running? did u ever look into the phearable ecu i was telling u about? I think your wiring/Ecu is to blame. Mine is the same motor as yours, theres really no reason why your car should be having to put up with all these shenanigans with the motor. Took me 2 MONTHS to do the wiring, but as u can see it came out right. Lets get this fixed, PM me your SN or something.

im running a P06 chipped to a P28 with a custom basemap..i have looked into the phearable ecu but i havent had the funds to grab it but im finally workin again so i got some cash flow comming in again.
I know the wiring is to blame & the ecu too but since i was away at school i havent had the time or money to do anything about it & what do you want me to PM you? the SN on the ecu?

niether of those sensors should prevent starting. a TPS will not activate VTEC and an IAT will surge your idle IIRC.
I'd definitely look in your ECU. are you OD1 or ODB2? look into a p13 or p05 being from the bb1 and bb6 prelude respectively. might work.

im obd1 & i had a p13 for a bit but the motor wouldnt run properly on it so thats why i switched to the chipped P06..

ok so today i worked on the car to try to figure out whats goin on.. the car has spark, fuel & everything checks out..
one thing we found out is that the fuel pump isn't gettin enough power but we ran a wire from the pump to the battery and the car started but wouldnt stay on, it would die immediately...
so we ended the day with that cuz we had no clue what it could be, i really dunno where go with it..

k so i replaced the main relay & now i can hear the fuel pump priming but it still starts & dies on the spot..
i dunno whats next? im trying to find someone around here with an ECU that i could borrow to see if that changes anything..

yea man i know, that was the plan but the day before i was gonna bring it in i ended up smokin a curb and bending my subframe. So the car sat for like a month till i got time to fix it again..

we gotta get a CL meet going when u finally fix that damn thing. I'd DEFINITELY get the encounters on video. NJ Tpke is a 3 lane road, sooo that could be all kinds of race combos between you, me, shaun, matt, arber, kumar, and paco n f22vtec can race since they both have single cams

we def need to meet up. im starting my turbo manifold fab tomorrow when i order the flange together with the ss 2" fittings lol. my primaries will be bigger than some exhausts on az. lmoa
Allen. did you fix your car i really think its your fuel pump some dying fuel pumps do manage to start but then die you should take out the banjo fitting at the fuel rail. place the line in a bucket and keep cranking the key make sure you get a steady stream.
