Wtf! Wtf! Wtf! Wtf!
I just thought I should share this story with you guys. As some of you may know i have been AutoXing my car as of late, and everything has been going great. Well yesterday I pulled out of my driveway and started driving out of my subdivision, just as I go to pull out onto the main road the engine starts to sound like a gokart engine and starts reeking of gas. I immediately stop the car and get out to look under the hood, only to find a melted plug wire hanging from the valve cover. So I grab a flash lite to check the plug out and to my suprise there is no plug to look at!
So I park it get my dads car run to walmart (Advanced was closed) buy a spark plug and on the way home find the original lying in the entrence of my subdivision. Now I did change my spark plugs around Christmas, and haven't checked them since, but what are the odds of them coming loose and falling out of the engine!? So today Im going to put in the new one and have to buy new plug wires to make sure I still have a car to drive.

That's weird man, did you torque them down to spec? Very odd that the wire was melted as well, are you still auto-x'ing on your stock suspension btw?

Are your wires Bosch? there have been reports that Bosch wires pop out and cause damage much worse...
If it's oem wire then that's... indescribable.

I've heard of so much force from noss blowing your spark plugs out, but this sounds like vibration, or like sleeper was saying the wires somehow wriggling them out. Check and see if the other ones are loose too maybe?

but back to the actual thread! I got my car back yesterday and it didn't cost me a dime to get fixed! And apparently this kind of thing happens atlest 3 times a month. The reason my spark plug came out was because the aluminum block engine, flexes a little when they start to get to hot, it will cause the plugs to come loose!? And the reason it wasn't firing after I replaced everything was because there was a piece of plastic or something from the last plug that was not allowing a connection, so they just cleaned it out and now its all good!
