ok lately my head unit has been just randomly shutting off and turning right back on...i have already checked the wiring to the back on it and such. and just today my subs started to just turn off and on during a song....checked those wires and everything is fine...i do work at best buy installing this shit and i know what im doing and i cant figure it out. could it be my cars wirining is going bad or a loose conecting somwhere in my car i have to find.....HELP WANTED

yea the person who hired me now works for WAL MART.....ill have to do that at some point OH and i failed to mention that my speedo quit friday on my way to virginia and im stuck on 86300 miles...everything else in the cluster works though...waht the hell

i cant find ANYTHING on here about that. shit is right i want to get this fixed and im too cheap to go have it looked at to see whats wrong with it

if you really did mean your speedo went out and not your odo, you might want to check out your alternator if you keep having electrical probs. other than that, i dont know anyting about electrical shaith.

 

yea the speedo and the trip and total milage dont work. everything else in the cluster works...damn new alternator...more money damn it

 

hey i could be wrong, id look into it more before buying a new one. check all your grounds, maybe look around in the engine bay and listen for weird noises from your alt.

 

thats a tomorrow project...but the car does make wierd noises cause of me beating on it but we wont talk about that

while ur checking the alternator, check ur fuses too. replace them also.

Speedo and odometer are probably the Vehicle speed sensor.. same thing happened to me somet time ago.. still stuck at 79991

ok while i was "working" today i found a few bad grounds on the engine and chasis that could have been the problem...on the way home i was fine everything worked...also where is out speed sensor for the speedo...is it in the transmission like alot of cars...if so there could be shavings form the parts inside and oil collecting on it and its disturbing the sensor..what do you guys think
